My pastor says he will never stab someone in their back...but he will stab them from the front. I am so thankful I have people in my life that are willing to stab me in the front. I need people that will hold a mirror in front of me and show me what others see. Without conflict there can be no growth.
I recently spent time with someone that has no one in his life that he has a close enough relationship to stab him from the front. It was astonishing the lack of self perception this man has. He had an amazingly high view of himself and his life and no one around him shared his views of himself. He abandoned his daughter and never even supported her financially, yet he takes all the credit for her success. He begins drinking first thing in the morning and drinks until he falls asleep at night but is convinced he doesn't have a problem. You could hack him up with a machete and it would do no good. He is not willing to allow anyone to correct anything in his life.
I am thankful for all the people around me that are willing to wound me so that I may grow.

A true apsotle Paul.
"For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings" (1Corinthians 2:10).
"If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities" (1Corinthians 11:30).

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in sprit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee..." (1Timothy 4:12-14).

From the back or from the front?
