The Race Card Again???
So if Meghan McCain was non-white, would she be accused of playing the race card?
Do YOU think she is playing the race card?

In a word - YES! Using the word "racist" is a rallying call for the liberal left for anything they disagree with. It immediately gets the attention of those looking for some kind of racism in everything.
This is an example of the tail trying to wag the dog.

Do you have the link for what she is responding to (Tancredo's remarks)?

Sometimes this is true.
There are certainly racist hunters, or those who keep this "trump card" in their back pocket. However, there are also very real situations that truly are racist or at least come from an subconscious prejudice.

I believe that racism still exists in all races of people. I'm definitely not a tea party person, but I don't think it's a racist group. My guess is that they would welcome all the African-Americans and Latinos in the US to join them if they would!

Re: The Race Card Again???
BTW... her remarks are from February.
Hers was a response to Tancredo's comments:
The convention's first speaker, former Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado said that people who voted for Barack Obama could not pass a basic civics literacy test. "People who would not even spell the word vote or say it in English put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House...named Barack Hussein Obama," he said.
Yes, that's right. The president is a socialist, his supporters illiterate.
Today, Tancredo stood by his comments. "These people didn't have the slightest idea about what America is all about, about the Constitution," he said. "And they went and voted!"
FTR, I don't think Tancredo's remarks here were especially "racist." They are wrong and without class though. Who are these that "can't speak English" and are illiterate that he accuses of voting in a Presidential election? Very harsh words showing very little faith in the American people. Not exactly Jeffersonian.

Meghan McCain is an idiot. I never listen to anything that girl has to say! I'm ashamed of her.

Nor do I (though I disagree with them on a few of their political perspectives). The group as a whole is not. I think we should realize that this group attracts racist people though. Same is true of NAACP, La Raza, etc... Any group with a cause attracts activists for ideas that overlap. In the case recently, immigration, the overlap is loud and clear.

Wonderful, gracious words.
Care to say why she's an "idiot" and why you are "ashamed" of her?

You'll have to do the research yourself, like I did, to find out. I don't have the time nor the inclination.
