The whole premise of the OT was different than the Koran. In the OT God gives man a moral code that reflects God's values (the Ten commandments) and seeks to have communion with man.

While there certainly was violence in the OT against those who opposed God's chosen people there were no instructions to kill or enslave all who did not convert to Judasim.

The only way one can have a "moderate" version of Islam is to completely ignore many of the concepts and directives in the Koran. Much like liberal Christian theologians view the Bible as just a good book.

True. Only some of them. So, is the OT less evil than the Quran?
