According to Laura Ingraham as of today Obama's approval rating ranks him in the bottom three since approval polls have been taken at this stage of his presidency. The more he talks (supposedly his greatest attribute) the worse his numbers. Maybe he ought to try taking a break from all the talking and start listening. But then again if he's not going to reverse course I'd be happy to see him making daily speeches and conducting daily interviews and press conferences...

When a newspaper posed the question, "What's Wrong with the World?" G. K. Chesterton reputedly wrote a brief letter in response: "Dear Sirs: I am. Sincerely Yours, G. K. Chesterton." That is the attitude of someone who has grasped the message of Jesus.
The other Presidents to share this honor were Carter and Reagan, so I guess that means Obama has a 50/50 shot to get a 2nd term? Not bad!
Only problem there for BHO is he's more like Carter than Reagan, so I'd give him less than 50/50.
Also it's likely the majority of people who voted for BHO based on race and his making history as the first black president won't be voting for him again.

I'd say if there were people that voted for him because of his skin color before, they will probably do it again. Although there were not that many that voted for him solely on that.
I have a rule. dont judge a president until he has been gone for 10 years when it comes to his place in history.
i can state that BHO is doing some of the same failed things that Herbert Hoover and Jimmy Carter did.
it reamains to be seen how everything plays out. the economy can rebound despite government policy (though I seriously doubt sans a change in monitary policy) that we can avoid serious inflation.
And as seen with Bill Clinton, after he lost control of congress, things changed. He ended up winning a second term because of sound policy. part of that was conservative control of congress driving policy and part of it was a pivot on his part to more centrist policy.
those things can happen again.
AND there is still the outlier potential of a third party presidnential candidate. BHO could win the whitehouse with less than 455 of the popular vote if someone like Sara Palin or Lou Dobbs makes a third party run. That can happen.
so IMHO Obama has about a 55% to 60% chance of being re-elected even though he is a nincompoop.
