I heard a sermon one time talking about how if we truly believed that our loved ones were going to go to Hell if they died tomorrow, we would be doing a whole lot more about it than we are! The crux of the sermon was that we obviously either
a) don't believe that our loved ones are actually going to end up in that horrible place or
b) we don't really believe that Hell is as bad as it is going to be.
But I agree with Diz on this one - if someone has just lost someone they love, this is not the time to make them feel WORSE.
