I am not going to attack. If you want a conservative church in the S.E. Houston area go to the Apostolic AMF church in Highlands. They run about 200-300ish, have a nice building and are standards focused. If I were a conservative that would be a good church for me.
BTW I am not being sarcastic, they actually do seem to be a decent church.

Before you start trying to dissect my statement into something it's not, I didn't state I believed the story. How do you know what I do and don't know about this story? For all you know I could have been raised in that church. Get your own facts verified before you try to call other people out.
To an extent I do believe this story. From members that I've seen from the mentioned church they had dyed and cut hair. I'm not passing judgment I'm just stating what I saw. Only God can judge.

Brother Mike Phillips pastors I think in Vidor and there is a Brother Adams in Vidor. They are good people. We went to Brother McClaine's church...wow we had an awesome service there...We have visited several churches in Houston area and been blessed each place with wonderful services. Standards differ so if you were chosing a church you would have to find one where you would feel that you could take part.

For some reason, the highlighted statement really jumped out at me. My immediate reaction was, "How can that be?" How can standards differ from church to church? If they are "standards" then they don't seem to be negotiable. "Standards" are clear lines. But if the lines aren't clear, then there are no clear lines. If they are not clear lines, then they are meaningless, aren't they? And if they aren't clear and they differ from church to church, it would seem that inconsistencies develop.
And really, that's exactly what "standards" are....Inconsistent. TV is bad, internet is ok. That's inconsistent. Wedding rings are ok, but jewelry isn't . That's inconsistent. But for many, even wedding rings are bad. Even more inconsistent. Makeup up is bad but lip gloss is ok. Inconsistent.
The entire ideal of "Holiness Standards" seems to be a cesspool of inconsistencies. It seems that if "Standards" had any biblical foundation, it would be very clear and every "standards" church would be pretty close, if not, identical.
praxeous you are just attacking me for no reason like earlier and you are refrencing keenky isnt very CHRIST like
beenthinking dont call bro.kilgore if you really know him it was out of passion that i said what i said earlier in the day and it is under the blood
notofworks i cant judge macmanus character because i dont know him how do you know hes a good guy???
Despite the fact that I would bet every cent I own that you are an AFF member in disguise, it's fun to talk to you because you represent real people!
That being said, our church is sort of a "sister church" of Mosaic, pastored by Erwin McManus, and I can assure you, he's a good guy and a great church leader.
And did anyone see the Doritos commercial during the Super Bowl where the guy was faking his death to be buried in a casket full of Doritos? Erwin produced and directed that.

Faulty human logic.
