this s a sore subject for me ansd when i speed or slow and go at a stop sign i did something illegal and i get a ticket and have to payit . they dont give me ss for it a place to stay ,or food stamps lol. illegal is illegal and deserves punishment if it does for one it does for all.

Ah, but they do have to pay for it. The average illegal who has recieved amnesty in the past, has had to pay about $5000.00 Every one thinks it is a free ride but it is anything but. They pay for it through the nose. You or I could go to mexico for very cheap and live indefinently, and some do. They have to pay much to come here.

We had a man in the church that had to pay $15000.00 for him, his wife and small son. That was when Clinton gave amnesty.

When was the last time you paid $5000.00 for a speeding ticket.

Another man, here on a legal travel visa but wanting a work visa, had to pay almost $3000.00 to get legal.

Then... concerning Social S., do you realize that all of the illegals pay into the system and can never get anything out until they get legal? Yet they still have to pay? The government acknowledges that they are part of the essential part holding up that system. So... yes they are paying for their illegality.

Even those wanting a religious workers visa have to pay $2000.00 to get in.

So what was your point again?

If they are paying taxes, not sales tax but Federal taxes, what is the point in giving them amnesty...other than allowing them draw SS and bring the rest of their family here legally? I always thought the purpose of Amnesty was to benefit the United States.

the point is if you want to become an american citizen you should pay, it costs canadians 5000 per person to become us citizens. so why shouldnt they pay they should pay double being ove rhere illegally and not paying taxes .

I would give illegals a year to come forward and pay a fine (perhaps $1000 to $2000) and become citizens. I'd then put a 3rd Degree Misdemeanor on their record and two years probation.

I'm a softy I know. I just know many illegals who are good people just looking for a better life. I know many countries are far less merciful on this. I just think we should be different because we're America.
