Trials, truth, and trust
When you are in a trial, is your trust in God, the church, or the pastor ever undermined? Do you ever question what the truth really is? When these types of trials come, how do you respond?
Do you keep on following the same path, knowing this is the absolute truth and though you may be confused now, everything will right itself at some future point?
Do you just stand still and wait on God? If so for how many years?
Do you understand the trial to be a tool God is using to stretch you to new places in Him (perhaps abandoning an older decision you had made)?
Do you pray intensely during these times? Have you ever tried to pray and gone into a grief so intense you couldn't stop weeping, repeatedly every time you really prayed for months, and still felt you had no answers?
Have you ever gotten to a point where you just felt like giving up on it all? What did you do in these times?
