Re: The Hope of Israel
Our physical bodies would have lived forever if we would have not sinned. The aging of our bodies that brings death only happens because sin entered into the picture. Death doesn't happen in perfection.

Good words, sister.

Genesis 2:8 Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:15 The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
We can logically conclude that they were free to eat from the tree of life. But what exactly did the tree of life do?
Genesis 3:21 The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. 22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." 23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side [e] of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.
Eating from it makes a person live forever. Which Adam and Eve were allowed to do until after they sinned. So therefore, sin brought about physical death. Mankind could have eaten feely from the tree of life and lived forever if only we hadn't sinned.

1John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you,
than he that is in the world.
Because of HE that is within me, 1John 4:18 says, in part: There is no fear in love; ![Heart](images/smilies/heart.gif) The love
of God shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. Christ in us, the HOPE of glory.
Bro. J,
Hope all your family is well. good to see you here!
