1 John 2:15-18,
15
Love not the world (system), neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
John 3:16, For God so loved the world (people)that HE gave His only begotten
Son that whosoever beliveth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.
The things of the world (system) fits into these three catagories:
lust of the flesh
lust of the eye,
and the pride of life.
These are NOT of the Father, but are after the world. And the world will
pass away and the LUSTS thereof. BUT he that doeth the will of the Father
abideth forever.
If we are led by the SPIRIT of God, we will come out of the world and be
seperate. And they shall be my sons and daughters, saith the LORD ALMIGHTY.
I want to please my God, so I will endeavor by HIS Grace and Mercy to
do that. Even though some things may not be spelled out in the Bible, if
we seek the Lord to know HIS pleasure about it, He will let us know by
the leading of HIS Spirit.
The UPC did not lead my grandmother, parents, and others that received
the Holy Ghost before there was a UPC. They were willing to be led by the
Spirit of GOD.
If I had a problem with some things discussed on this forum, I would be
seeking to know GOD's WILL regarding the matter. I would be trying to find
the leading of the Spirit. Not listening to everyone else and maybe even
those who try to justify their desires and actions. God sees and knows our
hearts, our thoughts and intents.
There is a lack of fear of the LORD. Wisdom, knowledge and understanding
begins with those who fear the LORD! It is a fearful thing to fall into the
Hands of The Living God!
If we desire to please ourselves and those that follow the world's system,
we need to "examine ourselves, to see IF we be in the Faith". 2Cor.13:5
