This is true.
We were the laughing stock at one time. We were the ones who were labeled "holy rollers", of the devil, crazy, off our rockers.
We were the ones put out of homes and churches.
We were the ones whose windows were broken, who were pelted with rocks, whose tent pegs were tore down.
We were the ones labeled heretics, made off casts and rejected.
And we didn't start with all of the "truths, doctrines and holiness standards" in place either. They came along after.
So then why do we finger point and make derisive put down remarks about other moves of God that have taken place in just about every decade since the first one of the 20th century.
I'm happy to be what I am. I'm glad I was born into apostolic Pentecostalism. I'm grateful and proud that I was raised in good churches and in the UPC tradition but are we the result of the only move of God in NA during the past 107 years? I sure don't think so.
