You have any idea how ridiculous you look talking down to a man like MOW?
I have no tattoos or piercings and teach my son why I don't have them, I don't however lie to him about what Scripture says about it in an effort to control him.
Actually I thought Bro. Benincasa's post was very insightful. He brought up several issues that should be explored in regard to issues like this.
MOW posted his position on this thread. I would think that means he is open to discussing what he said. So, how is MOW's opinion any more or any less acceptable than is Bro. Benincasa's?
Also, where did Bro. Benincasa incorrectly use any scriptures? As a matter of fact, where did he quote any Bible in his post?

This is so true. My brother who is several years younger than me had plenty of advice on how to raise my kids, and then he had some of his own. As the parent of a 16 and 11 year old I know that someday very soon they will be making their own choices. Just as God gave Adam and Eve a choice, we must let go and allow our children to make choices. Am I a better father than God? I know better than that, and all of his kids failed at some point.

I agree that we should allow our children to make their own choices and we do, but that is not going to stop us from voicing our opinions! NO TATTOOS!
