Jermyn, she really should have not worn them to that particular place. But it is her right to wear what she can afford.

You may be too young to remember, but Nancy Reagan was torn apart for wearing designer clothes. But she was an actress and was kind of use to wearing them. Being First Lady gives you some perks, designer clothes and shoes just some of them. I will give her the benefit of the doubt.
