He cut and pasted it wrong.

Everything in that post is stuff I said to him. He just didnt copy it properly to include all of it in the quote he's responding to.

The part that should be outside of the quote is the part that he wrote, which begins "could you list..."

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed it.

(One might even wonder if they're the same person.)

So Ezekiel uses examples of whoredoms to describe spiritual fornication.

Ezekiel 16:50
And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

Looks like some folks need home bible studies.

Whoredoms. Hmmm

48Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.

49And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

what kind of paint colors help achieve the lewd look?
How sad.

women of the night hmmm.

Proverbs talks of the high look

Proverbs 21:4 (King James Version)

4An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.

some translations call it the haughty look.

These are typical behaviors of seeking to entice male responses.

The haughty look. How obvious.

Here is a reference to Holiness looks.

Carnal women pretty much avoid the proverbs 31 woman.

30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised

In Proverbs 31:10-31, the Bible describes a virtuous woman

It doesn't describe the painted liberated woman Ezekiel uses to describe the haughty Babylonian temptress.

So lewdness is an abomination
the haughty, high look is sin

How do these lascivious women get the lewd look if they cover their skin?

Now it makes sense that Jezebel is associated with prostitution. Of course she was painted up. I suspect it was for some reason. It could be a coincidence that within a few verses of her being described as painted, some eunuchs tossed her onto the street where she was devooured.

Ezekiel also refers to the daughter doing like the mother in regards to this mess.

so a little summary for now. Lewdness, adornments, haughty looks, whoredoms, spiritual fornication

are in opposition to the proverbs 31 woman

29Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

I admit I have posted a little here and i did not think this was a discussion board for Holiness people.
If you think these scriptures are proof of your "no makeup theory" you are worse off than we first thought.

Lewdness = criminal sexual act.
Haughty = proud look

"How obvious" that haughty has anything in the world to do with made up eyes? Seriously! Clean shaven, pure faced Christians can have a haughty look - - - it means proud - - not wearing eye make-up!

It DOES look like someone needs some Bible lessons, but I don't think it's who YOU think it is.

So you still can't support the painting of the flesh can ya?

That's the kind of thing you get when people, instead of reading the bible to find what the truth is on a topic, start with something they want to hold to as truth, then try to find bible verses they can find to justify their positon.

That's just sloppy theology.
(....Not to mention spiritually dangerous, and destructive.)

The quality or state of being obscene: bawdiness, coarseness, dirtiness, filthiness, foulness, grossness, obscenity, profaneness, profanity, scurrility, scurrilousness, smuttiness, vulgarity, vulgarness. Slang raunch, raunchiness. See decent/indecent.

lewdness.
Obviously the bible on many occasions uses whoredoms to describe spiritual fornication. When they come in the church, the loads of mascara draining down the face is quit a sight.

All that pride running down. Obviously that grand application of paints would leave puddles of whatever if they ever went into intercessory prayer in a prayer room. But God can clean them up inside and outside.

Slouching Towards Gomorrah

(Chapter 11)
By Robert Bork

Wimmin demanding reproductivve freedoms. demanding church pulpits

Quote:
NOW is the time to take back control of our lives. NOW is the time to make reproductive freedom for wimmin of all classes, cultures, ages and sexual orientations a reality. NOW is not the time to assimilate to bureaucratic puppeteers who want to control, degrade, torture, kill and rape our bodies. NOW is the time to drop a boot heel in the groin of patriarchy. NOW IS THE TIME TO FIGHT BACK. NO GOD, NO MASTER, NO LAWS. (14)
What if she ages and the paint won't cover the aging?
Quote:
FEMINISM vs. FAMILY AND RELIGION
Many feminists are particularly host to the traditional family. Martha Nussbaum, a much-touted classical scholar, writes:

It is in families..... that the cruelest discrimination against women takes place.... [T]he patterns of family life limit their opportunities in many ways: by assigning them to unpaid work with low prestige; by denying them equal opportunities to outside jobs and education; by insisting they do most or all of the housework and child care even when they are also earning wages. Especially troubling are ways that women may suffer from the altruism of marriage itself... [A] woman who accepts the traditional tasks of housekeeping and provides support for her husband's work is not likely to be well prepared to look after herself and her family in the event (which is increasingly likely) of a divorce or an accident that leaves her alone. (16)
Goddesses and goddess worship

Quote:
Many people believe and repeat that there are 150,000 female deaths annually from anorexia nervosa because women starve themselves to be attractive to men.
So make-up is not enough. what othere alterations must a women have to "attract men"?

http://www.fathersforlife.org/feminism/borkch11.htm

What a crazy circle the world has for women to get ahead and get control. sorry, cosmetics and paint will not give the freedom you want.

Drama and emotionalism. exageration is a form of dishonesty.

Go ahead and give us some examples of "dangerousness" you refer to.

I was thinking of the golden calf but that is kinda the opposite of your deal.

Is worshipping animals inferior to goddess worship?

Hathor

Responsible For: Music and Dancing! Also Drunkenness, Underworld, Women, Joy, Motherhood, Love, Lighthearted Pleasure, Justice

Totemic Form: Cow

Hathor was the Egyptian mother goddess and goddess of all that is best in women. In her aspect as goddess of music and dancing, her emblem was the sistrum, an ancient musical percussion instrument. All Egyptian women worshiped her, from the queen to the lowliest woman of the land, and she was the protectress of pregnant women.

If you plan to do a portrayal of Isis, here are some suggestions:

Wear a red costume. Egyptians addressed her as "thou lady of the red apparel".
There are many works of art depicting Isis with wings.
Isis is frequently depicted, as shown both above and to the right, as having a throne perched on top of her head.
Alternatively, Isis is frequently depicted with a headdress that has cow horns surrounding a sun disk.

http://www.shira.net/egypt-goddess.htm

Remember the egyptians were really into this. When I was in the world, iI sometimes named a new boat after one of the Egyptian gods.

Quote:
The advanced level of the Ancient Egyptian civilization, such as:
- The high status of women, which has not been equalled throughout history, even in present times.
- The Egyptian spiritual roots of George Washington, Napoleon and Mozart. All these famous people were masons, whose rites, knowledge, and traditions originated in Ancient Egypt.
- The Ancient Egyptian calendar - the most accurate ever--past and present.
- Their medical knowledge about determining the sex of the unborn child.
- Their knowledge and use of the different types of antibiotics.
- Their superior medicine. A single prescription included as many as 35 different ingredients.
- Their advanced knowledge in science, technology, metals and industry.
That is why face painting was so strong in egypt. some of us have been delivered from there.
