My Wife Has Left Me

Yup. It is true. About 11 am this morning my wife and daugther left on about a two week vacation to Texas by way of Mississippi.

This is the "introduce the granddaughter" grand tour to relatives who have not yet had the pleasure of meeting the smartest most beautiful baby in the world.

I am jealous that I have to stay here and work and dog sit while they have fun but such is life.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Good grief! You scared me by that title!! I know they will have fun traveling, and we'll all be interceding for you at home. I will be leaving Eddie for two long mission trips this year, it looks like. He will appreciate me all the more when I come home!!

I knew you were kidding CC!

I know what you mean though, I hate missing out on anything even if it were a trip to Texas-actually I like Texas.

LOL!!! I will miss them but to be honest I am looking forward to at least a few days of solitude. Some of my "reorginization" projects I prefer to do over a couple of days without interference...er......suggestions from others. I plan on reorganizing my office which is a nightmare right now.

LOL!! I didn't even have to pray for her to die like your friend you told me about.

It is a good thing she is gone while I reorganize my office because I am about to fill her living room with a ton of stuff that will probably sit there for three of four days while I slowly, at a liesurely pace, get my office organized.
