Wrong attitude here. Should the elderly be accepting of glaucoma, gout or even arthritis and not expect much in pain relief?
What about surgeries-- you're old and you should be dying in about 10 years so we won't do this surgery for you?
I am not elderly so I don't know how it is, but this seems like the elderly and the infirm of our society will have to simply fend for themselves in ways they didn't have to before.
Doctors will be forced to make these types of decisions....
