Re: A Message for all the God-robbers
Cute. If I could speak biblically... The Jews actually paid three types of tithes. How come mainstream Christianity only teaches to give one of the three?

Sorry to assume. I didn't know you still payed your tithes to the Levites, or gave to the storehouse for the poor and various Jewish festivals.
And I'm sure I don't need to ask you about the 613 Mosaic Laws you adhear to:

Re: A Message for all the God-robbers
I meant it to mean that we don't pay tithes because we aren't Jewish.
But I do GIVE tithes (I don't PAY tithes). If we can be like our father Abraham in faith why not in our giving? Romans 4:12-16 Genesis 14:20

You know, I've wondered what's really different about someone who chooses to obey the laws out of their love for God, vs someone who follows clothing and hair standards that I've heard preached some places out of their love for God.
I've been studying the laws and for the most part, what I've seen has to do with knowing God, loving God, serving God, and knowing, loving, and serving His people. Seems to be more valuable to one's character than wearing a skirt, or wearing long sleeves.
NOT that I'm knocking standards in any way. The more I study, the more I appreciate a person doing something out of their love for God. Please don't think I take issue with that. God desires that kind of dedication, He really, really does.

I mean I copy Abraham's example of giving.
