False prophecies of doom and gloom abound. However, EVERYONE will die and face God. We do well to warn them that they cannot escape his judgment should they neglect such great salvation.

Do we believe in liberty and justice for ALL? Or are there exceptions?

Personally, I stand for liberty and justice for all… that includes gay people bro. Do I think its sin? Yes. Do I want to see them saved? Yes. But do I want to use the police power of government to control their personal decisions? No. I say give them all the freedoms we all enjoy as far as being American goes… and then preach the gospel to them. Why make victims out of them and feed their cause?

Sounds noble, but you can not throw Christian values & principles out the window for political expediency!

Remember, it is just a short distance to gays being in power & making laws & don't think they will be so kind & merciful to Christians!

That's the name a that tune!

Truthseeker,
Do you think we should fine, imprison, or possibly even stone fornicators?
[stoning mostly in the cases when the fornicator was engaged to be married to someone else]

I ask the question when folks (like you) seem to propose that we, the righteous-by-faith called out ones, attempt to regulate what secular governments do concerning the unbeliever's lifestyle.

Is there a bigger perspective here that might better serve how we direct our energies?

So that is a yes for marriage licenses for homosexuals. Unbelievable. No offense but you got issues.

Has nothinhg to do with granting gays marriage licenses.

Does not the more immoral a society come bring greater strongholds and more vileness?

So should the govvernment stay out of how many wives a man can have? How dare them have laws against beastality. Who are they to say a 16year old girl can't have sex with a 45 yeard old man. Who are ther to regulate these folks lives??? What nerve!

So, whether you or I like it, we are citizens of a representative government, elected by a majority vote of those choosing to cast a vote. The voting population is from among a constituency that has a supermajority of persons who are secular, humanistic, unbelieving, heathens.

What is the point TS?

Are you teaching that those of us who have been invited to "come out from among them and be ye seperate" should return to where we came from and incite political zeal, lead a revolution, establish our own break-away Christian governed nation?

If not, then we are simply that small light that is increasingly visible as the darkness becomes greater and greater; not as warriors, but as lifeboat operators.

First, MAJORITY of voters are against gay marriage, so the lawmakers/judges that are fighting for gay rights DO NOT represent the majority.

You know what's funny, Cali voted against gay marraige but Obama carried Cali, kinda strange.

Are you saying Christians should not be involved in politics, run for office or vote?? And should they lay aside morality if they do so???

BTW You didn't address this:

Re: Don't you miss the days of Pres. BC?

TS, do you propose we incite a revolt?
If the Cali legislators went against the will of the majority (even more contrary since CA is a state governed by referendum rather than representation), the consequence should be that they (legislators) are removed from office by whatever means the public will can (or chooses to) engage.

Voting? Political zealotry? We should all follow what the example of our master and his leading.

God is still God even though women are being brutally and physchologically ravedged through 'rape as a weapon' in the Belgium Congo.

TS, I can not answer your question:
"So should the govvernment stay out of how many wives a man can have? How dare them have laws against beastality. Who are they to say a 16year old girl can't have sex with a 45 yeard old man. Who are ther to regulate these folks lives??? What nerve!"

To provide a true witness I would also need to have an answer why goverments (authorities) turn away from brutality comitted against the weakest citizens. God's purposes and potency is not predicated on the strength of my arms. Should we all take up weapons and go hunt down and kill the rapists? Choose your activism....Jesus certainly seemed to.

If your calling is to be a voice against all things ungodly and unjust, maybe there are better forums for your calling.
