That reminds me of the time I had a little fandango with three big boys at the state FFA Convention in Oklahoma City.

They worked me over good and proper.

However, they quit before I did and took off. I don't know if it was out of pity for the dumb hick that didn't have sense enough to quit, or out of pure frustration.

I wasn't too smart back in those days.

My Dad grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma, home to Fort Sill Army base. He told me that him and his buddy's idea of a fun Friday night was to go see a movie, then afterwards find some army boys to invite into an alley for a good ole knock down drag out. He also said sometime they'd walk out of the alley and other times the army boys would. He always admonished me to avoid a fight if at all possible, but if I couldn't ..........well I sure you know the rest.

So far I've been able to avoid most scraps and I hope to continue that way into the future.

I've never been in a scrap. Anyway, growing up I'd hear "...if you get in a fight, you better win!! cause if you don't.. when you get home..." Well, I don't think I have to finish the rest.
