Red face

Our wonderful warm spring temps have vanished and tonight it's cold (30's) and windy.

Our church currently does not have week night services.
Sat at 7pm Worship / Praise / Preaching
Sun 10:30 AM Worship and Preaching

Sat emphasis is for the saints; Sun is for the visitors

I took off early this afternoon to go on a long motorycle ride with my son. We have not ridden together in almost a year. He had the day off so took care of some business in the morning then about 2 pm we were off!!

We rode on backroad highways in the beautiful Middle Tennessee countryside and ate a late lunch in a little town. We grew a little concerned because the beautiful blue sky with puffy white clouds was changing a bit in the distance headed our way and the weather forecast had called for scattered hailstorms and high winds in the afternoon.

Instead of continuing the direction we were headed we decided to loop back by our house then drive on backroads to the other side of Nashville to the Brentwood area to see some friends and eat dessert.

Like an idiot during the 30 minutes or so we were home I accidently left my key on with the lights on high. Apparently the battery is weak from just sporadic use over the winter and my bike wouldnt start. ARghhhh!!!!

Since you have to take the seat off to reach the battery it is a little more complicated than jumping a car and I didn't want to get where I was going and it not start once I wanted to leave ther.

As it was already about 5 pm I sent my son on alone for the rest of our big ride. I had to make a quick trip to Wal Mart to buy a trickle charger anad now I am hoping a slow charge will fix things.

I then mowed the back yard (had to use the headlights on the mower to finish in the dark - LOL).

Finally I watched the first part of American Idol until Dancing With The Stars came on and I switched over to watch it (will finish AI later)

My morning was crazy also!!!

My post was in the spirit of a certain poster who back on FCF or NFCF (I forget which) went through a phase of posting the most inane stuff like "I've got to go to the bathroom. Will be back shortly". Or "I am going to the store to buy strawberry poptarts, twinkies, and toilet paper. Will be back in one hour". Drove me nuts!!!!! I remember posting a response to one of his post asking him if he was confused and thought the forum was a personal blog.

Just spent the last hour talking with Eric ..... helping him with new English words ... like fascinating, sophisticated, stock broker, exemplary, etc. Argghhh! LOL! It's funny you know? We use these words all the time but when you have to stop and explain what they mean to someone whose mother tongue isn't English it can be bit of a challenge. More than once we go to dictionary.com for help.

Cleaning the kitchen, making coffee, going to have a piece of cinnamon coffee cake and whipped cream once the coffee's perked and then I don't know.......maybe read a bit.

TB's slicing strawberries! Got a whole flat for $5.50!
