Well, no one said it was cut and dry.
But you can't tell someone you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the only way, the truth, the light, and then marry an athiest or a Budist.
Just doesn't add up.
Now the one who marries while backslidden from thier faith and returns to it, or the one who marries before coming into thier faith... that would be a different can of beans.
But for a Catholic to marry an Athiest.. tells me the Catholic doesn't truly adhere to Catholocism. Doesn't really truly believe the teaching.
And it will tell thier children thus as well.
Totally agree.

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves

I don't think most Christians would marry an atheist or Buddhist , or vies versus! They have nothing in common for one thing.

Love can do strange things, love is blind...
I think most enter in not really thinking it will matter, sometimes it doesn't, until kids come into the pic.
My daughter boyfriend is of another faith and away at Bible College in FL, he a preacher kid. As of now he gone to church with her, she likewise out respect. I don't know if he'll crossover, his dad a preacher . He a wonderful young man.

I was close friends with someone who was a professed Christian, recieved the Holy Ghost in our church actually, and still moved to another province with her Muslim boyfriend.
This is the spirit of the age.
Love is blind, and can be very stupid.
The heart is decietfully wicked the Bible says. That's why I never use the expression "follow your heart"
I would in know way presume to judge your daughters circumstance. So I don't really want to respond to that. I wish her all the best!

See I don't understand how a Christian could marry into Muslim, unless they are hoping they'll win em over.
My daughter guy belong to a hardcore baptize church, I mean hardcore put most Apostolic to shame! She 18 has made it clear to him, she not changing her faith. She been to his church once, out respect for him and his parents. To see how it really was.

Well, I tried to reason it out, and of course the bottom line is, she loved him more than she loved her faith. She kept trying to talk herself out of him... but obviously didn't succeed.
She hadn't sold completely out to God, was still holding part of herself back.
I still pray for her, although she dropped completely off the radar a few years ago. I called her number one day and it was disconnected. I think she moved out of province with him and his family.
I hope with all that's in me that he'll treat her right. He had a terrible jealous streak. He came to church with her once. But never made any moves of his own. She wanted God so badly. And He filled her with the Holy Ghost.
She had been raised Catholic so she had a basic belief in Jesus.
MKC, if you ever read this... I'm praying for you still!!!!!
