The problem with South County Christian Center is that they believe confess and you are saved. That used to be Bro. Gerald's church, and things have changed since he left. We still hold to Acts 2:38 as God's example and direction for the path to salvation. None of us are saved until we get there

I need a church that believes Acts 2:38 is still necessary, still believes that Jesus is the father, son and holy ghost, and believes that modesty is important. That means no low cut, backless shirts and running around in bikinis. Not judging those that feel comfortable with that, to each their own, but I have 2 little girls and I am just not ok with that. I will check out the suggestions and keep em coming!!!

I do have a question, though...I see a lot of belief statements that say we believe justification is by grace through faith. While I do believe that's true, I don't feel the story ends there. If you have faith in him, you believe in him, therefore you believe in everything he taught. So, I think there's more to it. Is that what they are saying, or does that mean you just have to confess?

I have found a church that preaches Acts 2:38 without all the extra fluff. I just have to convince my kids to attend there!

I'm doing the same thing at the moment. Probably won't make a decision until the first of the year.

My church is the best... But the area is impoveished... We are working to change that however.

The Apostolic Church in Pontiac Mi, Steve Warman thriving church, and they have a person in their church who has one over 1,000 alcoholics and drug addicts to the Lord.

I know it's been a long while since I have been on here. So much has changed! Cute hair and jeans now anyway...

We are having a hard time finding a church. We basically want Acts 2:38 and oneness, with the same modesty. My husband was an alcoholic before he was in church, so no alcohol is good, too. We have considered lately moving out of state because of all this. If there is a thread similar to this, let me know.
