I am working on my weight. I still have a little more than 50 pounds to go. Losing 50 would put me at one of my "plateau" weights. I am currently at one of my "plateau" weights. So, I have to be really strict to get the scale going down again. I've considered lap band, but not seriously enough to research it in depth.

I didn't read the whole thread so someone may have mentioned this already, but I would cut the cardio stuff by half or more -and substitute it with good old fashion weight training. Muscles burn calories, even when your sleeping. A nice buff bod will literally burn more calories during 8 hours of sleep then 30 minutes on a treadmill or bike.

Re: What length would you go to lose weight?

As for my own personal weight loss plan, I prefer the binge and purge method myself. Simple, efficient, and (usually) discreet!

Weight training is a major key. Good advice.

Re: What length would you go to lose weight?

I guess I just don't know that much about weight training. I have been hesitent to join a health club- I just feel like that is something I can do at home. I am going to look for a DVD that has some weight training on it. Thanks for the advice.

Sometimes a club membership can really be worth it. There are many people (usually ladies) who walk and ride for HOURS only to find that they get MORE results from 30 minutes of lifting weights.
