I Met Pro31:28!

Yeppers! I met her and her two younguns last Thursday at the Pre Conference to "The Call" event help on the National Mall. The event had National and local coverage.

We were also briefed about it at the DOJ, as a potential threat to security, which I thought was a bit odd at first.

Any way, it was a pleasure to meet her and her kids. Spending time with them hanging out and in worship was a very good experience!

Pro, we got to do it again soon, but next time, your husband has got to join in the fun!

I said before, you always have a place at our table! Except that our family will be on a "Daniel Fast" September 24-November 1st, so the food won't be as good!

What was the deal with the DOJ? I know we did have protesters at one point (I think it was a pro-homosexual group, but I could be wrong) we completely ignored them.

Protesters and demonstrators are generally viewed through a lens of contempt around here. It's just the culture here right now.

There were concerns about the number of people gathered in one place at one time. Also, the fact that they we were assembled for a religious cause seemed to give some folks a rash.

Security was tightened at the DOJ-- more Officers, MPD FPS and Park Police were also on hand to help secure the property and the surrounding areas as precautionary measures.

You know those "Jesus Folks" are such a threat to National Security and all....

Did you hear about the whole offering fiasco? It was hilarious because they said Park Police want to make sure that we DO NOT PASS offering buckets, so you may take your offering to the tents on either side"... then "Please Do not all go at one time to take your offering"... Then 2 minutes later, "Park Police has asked that everyone make their donation now, please do this quickly, we don't understand, but security is asking us to do this"

And I had heard a rumor that when we had the life tape on we were going to march to the Supreme Court building, but apparently that was nixed because of the number that showed up. It was incredible though!

Law Enforcement was definitely on edge and I am not sure why.

When we had the big Anti-War rally that marched from 16th St to the Capitol Building, we were justifiably on edge. But this demonstration had no negativity at its core at all.

I think anytime there are this many people together, and especially Christians, they are leery of radical Islamic groups coming in with bombs. What would be better, in the eyes of the jihad-guys, than to blow up a bunch of radical Christians????

Well that "threat" was not discussed at my level-- maybe it was discussed, behind closed doors or something.
