Then she watched him for the next couple of days, but he never left. Never even tried to fly away. Same thing. Hopped away from her.

So she called Nature's Nursery, a wild animal rescue place near here. They told her that if she could capture it and get it to her, they would nurse it back to health. But that they don't have enough staff to come and get it. They said to put on big leather gloves and then put it in a box and bring it to them.

This is a full grown redtail hawk!

So what would you do? Any ideas?
Maybe call Fish & Game or the Forest Service in the area. They may have some suggestions.

Question. . .if one were to take the Hawk to a pawn shop would you say they were trying to Hock a Hawk? That would be impressive.

I would call the nearest zoo or humane society.

The bird will chew her alive.

One near us took a dove out of my driveway right in front of me.

I went in an grabbed some binoculars and watched it peck open the head of the dove.

While the dove was still alive.

We have 75 foot high electrical towers behind our house.

They sit in an open field and then there are trees between the towers and my house.

This hawk sits up there and dives straight down to the ground and catches it prey.

We have very few mice or rabbits.

They must know to stay away.

Ewwww. I live in town (a small town, but still "town"). One day I looked out my window and a redtail hawk was sitting under the neighbor's blue spruce having a squirrel for lunch. It really was a fascinating thing to watch. But then, I can be kinda sick like that. Some people would just be grossed out.

I emailed the person that Prax gave me the link to. Just heard back from him an hour ago. So I forwarded that on to Jodi. She's at work right now. When she gets home I'm going to check with her to see where things stand. I'll let you know.
