Re: GLEN BECK SAYS Start Stock Piling Food
Well, I'm not a real big fan of Glenn Beck, so, heres my opinion. The best reason NOT to stock pile food is because Glenn Beck said to stock pile food. For some reason, I was think of Chicken Little when I listen to Glenn Beck. But... I could be wrong. I may have wished I listened and stockpiled a little chicken....

Re: GLEN BECK SAYS Start Stock Piling Food
back to the thread topic... at home we always had about a year in advance. Living on the farm with a family of eleven it just made sense.

I've thought of doing that with our tax refund, but we don't have the room for that much food.

I actually think this is a good idea for a number of reasons. Sickness, job loss, give to the needy, etc.

And the fact it is just good practice to plan ahead for any unexpected disaster.
But as Rico stated, space is a problem for most of us.

Here's your computer savvy tip for the day...
When you go to a website to do a search for say a Spanish/English translation, and a little window pops up that says your computer is not protected from viruses... DO NOT CLICK THE 'OKAY' BUTTON!
Instead, place your mouse in your system tray (at the bottom or side of your screen), right click and click on 'task manager'. Once there, click on the 'processes' tab at the top. Then find 'iexplore.exe', click on it to highlight it, then down in the bottom right corner click on 'end process'.
That way you safely close the window without clicking ANY buttons on that bad, bad ad. I don't even trust the red X!
The things I have to go through to try to make sure you guys aren't being naughty with your Spanish language!!!

Re: GLEN BECK SAYS Start Stock Piling Food
I was listening to WTOP news talk-radio and it was mentioned that we should start stock piling food because prices have already gone up here in the DC/Baltimore area and will only get more expensive.

But, doesn't that just force the prices to go up sooner because of supply and demand.
I've just been buying things that are non-perishable when they are on sale and setting them aside. Seems the smarter thing to do than just go out and buy a bunch of stuff.
