Dear Friends:
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners."
Isaiah 61:1
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ, Whom we love and serve! The Lord has been very gracious and kind to us here in Brazil.
After making a long trip visiting many churches encouraging many pastors I am back home. I barely made it back as the motor of my car went out and while I was gone our church van blew a motor! The devil is furious and doing all he can to discourage my wife and I from being national missionaries.
Our biggest concern is that My wife is in need of a kidney operation ….Yes, we do have “free” health care here but if you lived here you would understand what free is here…They just me I would have wait 6-8 months and maybe she could have it…but the doctors say by that time her kidney will have shut down.
On behalf, of my wife Sister Roxana I come to you in the form of this letter asking for your help. I need at least 5000 dollars for this. It is so urgent. I am begging you to help my wife live. I know this is a lot of money and to me it seems like millions for our salary here is around 80 dollars a month. I have no possible way of paying for this operation. Can you please help us?
We want to thank all of you for your prayers and support. It is our greatest honor to serve the Lord with each of you. Together we are seeing great things happen as God’s Kingdom and his love penetrate the world. As it says in the Gospel of John: John1:7 He came as a witness to testify about the light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but he came to testify about the light. This was the true light that enlightens every person by his coming into the world . There is no greater place that you could put your money to get more return than the work of missions. We are training men to take the gospel to the world.
No vision that is from God is ever for just one person nor fulfilled by one but it is attained by all who take hold of it. So we ask you to take hold and run with us. Whatever you can do we thank you for it and praise God with you and for you.
Besides the surgery for my wife our first and greatest need is prayer support. We are seeking brothers and sisters in Christ who will make the commitment to hold up our family in prayers.
Any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated.
