Are You Ready?

We are entering into the last season. The harvest is going on. The political arena is being put into place regardless of who wins the presidential election. We are living in the last days. Are we ready for the challenges of standing up in the face of such great oppostion? Can we give our lives for what we say we believe? Are we, as a church body, going to stand together as time draws to an end?

I guess, it is yet to be seen how much strength the church has, or not. Do not be fooled by what is happening around you. Put on the whole armour of God. NEVER leave home without it.

I dont think we can ever say yes we are ready for persecution. We should have the mindset to suffer for Christ. Im sure many would fall if faced with violent persecution. But if and when it hits I also think there will be those who do stand.

Its not something we are used to so it would be very hard. But if we love Jesus passionately his love will be with us through it. If we are true disciples we should already at least know how to deny self. Thats the foundation for enduring suffering.

If we in truth have been having a real fellowship with him we will know that HIS LOVING KINDNESS IS BETTER THAN LIFE.

Well I would agree at least generally speaking. Peter said the "end of all things was at hand" in the first century.

7: But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. 1 Peter 4:7

Being a post trib believer I feel we are probably a few years away from the great tribulation. Before then I see things getting worse than we have ever known in America.

Great Depression could be brewing even now. Look at the "natural disasters"!

Sin has gotten to the point the land itself seems to be vomiting out its inhabitants.

24: Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
25: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. Lev. 18:24-25

Tornado's and floods are doing much damage. Hurricanes like Katrina hitting the coasts. Last year our region was in exceptional drought. The earthquakes are yet to come but on the way.

The persecution I see coming will fall on those who speak against the sins of the nation. Dare to speak out on homosexuality and you risk your job even now.

I dont think Islamics will be here beheading us in America. Our Government could easily go Communist in the coming years. I could envision some of the major cities being nuked by them though.

In the end of days I believe Nuclear fire will bring America down. Before the coming of Yeshua Saints will be going the way of martyrs. This will become a fully anti christ nation.

Readiness to face all these things is crucial. Those who have tasted and seen that the Lord is good will be able to hold on but even then it will be hard.

The Lord is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

YHWH is at this time preparing a people to fulfill THIS end time role.

32: And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
33: And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Dan. 11:32-33

The coming days will not be pretty. But those who dwell in the secret place will find their joy in him and HIM ALONE.

I will call your name before the Lord in prayer tonight for end time strength as you are one of the few that seem concerned about these things.

Thank-you Mike. I am concerned. I want my family to be saved and not just them only but my world of friends, co-workers, and even AFF acquaintences.

I believe like Michael...In fact I believe we will go though 7 years of tribulation...and only then will the church be purified...I believe Yahshua will rule and reign on earth...and that the knowledge of the Lord will fill the earth as never before...

Yes, there are hard times ahead...Americans will not always have the life style that they have today...

Everyone is looking for the Church to be persecuted, when in fact she has never stopped in being persecuted. Trials and tribulations have come since the early church until now. American Christianity is the only one living in constant fear of finally receiving persecution, but it is not part of the last days.

As Michael said, Peter and the early church believed they were living in the 'last days', and they were. The tribulation, the beast, the mark, all came to pass when Jesus said they would, within the generation he was speaking to.

I am ready constantly to meet the Lord. I want to see Him face to face when I pass from this mortal coil.

Yes, the church has trials and tribulations but not what will yet come upon this world...

Saying those things have come to pass just rocks the church on to sleep...I know lots with the attitude of why worry...everything has come to pass....

I am sorry to see you have returned to preterism. It will indeed seem like a doctrine of no hope when the Earth is crawling with evil in the near future.

The truth is very few American Christians think they will be persecuted. Between pre trib and preterism they think their comfortable life styles will continue right on. If they are right good.

If they are wrong which I think they are then Rhoni's question ARE YOU READY {to stand} becomes very important.

Studies from oversea's persecution show that MOST confessing Christians DO renounce Yeshua Messiah when violent persecution comes. It is true that the Church has never stopped being persecuted. That is in some places it is always occuring.

Yet in America only a tiny number of Saints have ever died because they are a Christian. Most have no idea what it is like to be persecuted. I would be willing to say the majority of Christians have never passed out a tract. Have never knocked on a door. Have never told a man, woman, boy or girl they will be cast into a lake of fire unless they are a disciple of Yeshua.

No wonder no persecution! True not many will hear this warning. Not many will deny self and pray for those in bonds or send them any help. Consider this: What we sow we will reap in due time.

We are not even in the great tribulation just before Yeshua comes. But in Islamic and Communist nations many believers sit in prison today for their faith. They wonder how their families will eat and be sheltered. They wonder if they are killed for the lovely Lord Jesus Christ if their families will stay true to the gospel.

But we in America get a free pass! We are so loved of the Lord that could never happen here!

Thats the mindset of American believers by and large.

Is there anything about American Christians that is more pleasing to the Lord than believers elsewhere? If not let us consider the question,
