Could some of you expound what it means to be a "royal priesthood"?

Yes, but I'm curious as to why some in the church 'today' consider themselves a part of the 'royal priesthood'?

Sure! I am just wondering why we have assumed that role? I mean what is the difference between being joint heirs with Christ as kings or a royal priesthood? Kings and priests? I mean, the sons of Levi were not kings, but priest. How can we be both, and what is the significance of 'royal' priesthood? I understand that we are ministering unto the king of kings, but why are we likened that way?

Bro Eastman I cannot match wits with the theological minds here.

My simple thought is that we are referred to as the royal priesthood because of our access to the holy of holies. The vail was rent.
