How about you? Do you dare admit it, that you talked to yourself?
I talk to myself all the time... doing my hair, in the shower, driving in the car... I hash out my feelings, thoughts... things I have to remember to do... people I'd LOVE to tell what I really think to... I get it honest.. my mother is the same way.

I've never had an imaginary friend though.
I've had many friends I WISHED were imaginary over the years...

Talking to yourself is biblical...

"I will say to my soul...soul take thine ease."

"Bless the Lord, Oh, my soul."

Imaginary friends can be dangerous.

Re: Did you have an imaginary friend growing up?

I had an imaginery friend and I turned out just fine, Apprehended. I think it's a childhood thing. The more of a big deal parents make out of it, the longer the "friend" will be around.

Anytime I got in trouble for anything when I was a little kid, I would tell my mom that my friend did it, not me. One day she got wise and put my friend in a chair to sit because she had been bad. She made her sit there for a long, long time (she was imaginery, so it couldn't be considered child abuse. LOL) But it made me feel so bad that I stopped blaming my poor friend for what I had done. And little by little, my friend faded away.

About a year after that, I tried a new tactic. I started telling my mom that my Aunt Dot did it whenever I got in trouble. Even if she was nowhere around. She was 10 years older than me. But I got her in lots of trouble. hehehe
