I understand her concerns as well, CS, and told her so yesterday morning.
Your posts on this and Elder E's have been excellent...

I've hurt her testimony how? I never said anything about her character or walk with God. I only see the pictures.
Do you think it would be alright for our youth to dress this way to any school function?

Melody, of course you have a right to question what your children are subjected to, but bottom line is that you simply don't know this girl personally or anything about her walk with God and therefore have NO grounds for making allegations about her based on some random pictures. This is an example of what's wrong with our organization...we spend more time trying to analyze how someone doesn't fit our ideal standards than trying to build up people and leave other things up to God. And I'm very disturbed that a pastor would have nothing better to do than try to dig up dirt on some young girl for curiousity's sake.

If these men fellowship together, preach truth, support missions, have revival, refrain from speaking evil of the UPC, then why do you care?
To date the only accusations I have seen have come from leadership on one side of this issue. I have read that the WPF "will come to naught" but have not seen in any of the WPF materials the "leave the UPC now because it is on the road to perdition" quote you use.
Maybe you can point me to where on their website or mail outs anything negative is said about the UPCI?
|
You crack me up! How about the heading "A Preferred Apostolic Future". Preferred over whom? The PAW, ALJC, AMF, or the UPCI. Methinks the latter. Apparently, being a part of that, the largest of the oneness organizations in the world, is not the way to go. Oh, also, they are in direct opposition to almost the entire leadership of the UPCI.
No other words are needed.

If you believe that "Preferred Apostolic Future" is synonymous with "the UPCI is on the road to perdition" there are some here issues no amount of words will help.
Btw I don't really care for that line myself as it seems a little silly, and has actually given me a few chuckles.

Perhaps I was guilty of hyperbole, but I do think that our direction determines our destination, and the Tulsa crowd obviously thinks the UPC crowd is going in the wrong direction.

Seems to be a lot of PRIDE involved in the motto "preferred Apostolic future."

To use the word preferred is to compare. Not great, powerful, or other such superlatives. Just a comparison to what is now extant. I think Paul told us this kind of thinking is not wise.

Melody, can I ask you a personal question? You don't have to answer if you chose not to. Here goes;
Do you wear your phylacteries on your arm or your forehead?

Re: Tulsa Report Day One
In my personal life I am considered ultra-conservative by non Apostolics, and conservative to moderate by Apostolics...
Having said that am I the only one that is troubled with the suggestion that this girl's clothing is something to be "put under the blood"??
Since when is a conservative one who casts harsh judgement on others?
