Christlike?
Actually, I was trying to post a photo from Oct. 2007. That isn't the right one, but I can't link to the other photo. If you look through her photo albums, you'll see an awards show from March 2007 in which she wore a more revealing dress, and then Oct. 2007, she was dressed more modestly.
I'd hate for every picture I've ever taken to be analyzed for modesty. LOL!!!!! When I was a kid on my Grandparents' farm, I spent entire summers in sleeveless sundresses and bare feet! And they were conservative Apostolics! OLD School.
Thank you for posting this. I am so sick of people who call themselves CHRISTIANS being so very UNCHRISTLIKE and judging every single thing fellow believers do/wear/say. Come on! What kind of doctrine are you following lady??? Examine the word of God! Judge NOT. That is what it says. This kind of judgemental self-righteous spirit needs to be culled out from His church. If that is what is happening now with those who have left then SO BE IT! Many of these UC ministers/people have such a terrible self-righteous attitude and it is so far from what Jesus Christ was/is! Have you gotten SO CAUGHT UP IN THIS HOLINESS DOCTRINE THAT YOU HAVE MISSED THE WHOLE POINT?? THAT YOU HAVE MISSED THE CHRIST IN IM A CHRISTIAN? What does that mean to you? To be Christlike? Shouldn't it mean to love people, to have compassion, to be merciful, kind, to accept anyone and everyone including the worst of sinners??? Ms Melody, I do not mean to attack you personally, but it tears me up inside to see how far off the path some of us have veered. This whole Tulsa thing can all be summed up in "looking to the right and the left". They've lost sight of Him. And you my dear, to post the pictures of this girl, i ask you to examine yourself. I think you need to concentrate on teaching your daughter to love people, to actually strive to be Christlike, to be kind, merciful forgiving. If you teach her these things she will be like HIm and whats more, she may even win someone to Him. With your current attitude I wonder if she ever will.

oh, get a grip.... 2006??? and who cares what she wore then. and who cares what others wear.. I am busy enough caring about my walk with God to worry about PJ pants.
I am pretty liberal when it comes to outward appearance... I don't care what the the youth wear as long as their covered modestly... a lot of parents are leaving a lot of room for convictions to form in a teen without jamming it down their throats.
I think you need to change your thinking about the youth ... there are some great kids serving God today!! A lot more to commend them on than outward appearances.

Did you follow the links? Or did you just read the 2006?
The links go into 2007 I daresay if I wanted to I could find recent photos.
Sure are great kids, great kids following a holy lifestyle couldn't they have used them.
Great kids that aren't wearing celebrity revealing gowns, jewelry, mini-skirts
the issue wasn't with her the issue was the leaders of congress didn't do their homework

Lisa forget about a decent conversation with her... a while ago she likened the girl she is down on (voice of dora the explorer) to Britney Spears... Doesn't make sense and it won't...

Melody, I say this in kindness...so they erred in judgment in your opinion.
If they did, are they not allowed to err?!
Does everyone you know in leadership positions make right choices everytime?!
I am concerned that in trying to hold a line of separation, we are making it so tight that even the Lord couldn't stand up under it.
Let's try cutting people some slack and give folks the benefit of thinking the best instead of the worst.
Sound reasonable, sis?!

Thanks... I gotta take three teens to youth service anyway...
three teens that she would surely put in hell anyway if she knew what they wore on a daily basis. Too bad really, cause they love God...and I know that there are some great young people out there making a difference.

Not many... I am a realist... I am facing this generation today and promoting modesty... and REAL issues such as a clean life and sexual purity...
recently my oldest daughter had one of her close friends...an Apostolic girl tell her there was no way she would EVER trim her hair like my daughter does....and she would NEVER put on a pair of pants....
I watched that same girl put her head on a guys leg last weekend IN my living room.... a guy she just started dating... and I was livid... ummm let me see... and there is the little fact about what she says about her Christmas vacation to Florida is.... "what happened in florida stays in Florida"... and I know from her own admission, she is 16 and not a virgin.... oh, but her mom thinks she is an angel. AND... her mom won't let my 17 year old wear PJ pants until it is time to go to bed when she stays all night. Oh,... and the music... I would be having me a bashing CD party.
All my daughter can say is.... this is a sad thing mom... what are people thinking today?? I'm sorry, I don't have an answer.
Outward appearance does not a Christian make... not by a long shot.
