I have been asked to give a devotional at a local church. I am going to be speaking on forgiveness. This is a speech i had given at another church some time ago but because of the death of my father I feel that it is appropriate for me to give it.

I have prayed about it and tweaked the content a bit, but it is still the same speech even though the first time I gave it I was talking about the robber and now it will be about someone else. But in order to have peace you have to forgive regardless of who you are talking about.

I know STS- I have a problem getting rid of stuff, too. But I find if I can tell myself that someone can use what I give away that helps.
I made Chicken and Sausage Gumbo yesterday. I delivered some to my mom and dad and to a pair of Great Aunts( they are 88 and 92 years old) and visited with them this am. This is a great day for Gumbo, it is raining a about 42 degrees. Really yucky weather. Later today I am making a rum cake for my dad's birthday. I like to let it sit and soak up the butter rum sauce for a couple of days before we eat it. My life is not that exciting these days- just cooking, cleaning and visiting!

Yes we do stay in close contact! Which I am very happy about....I am just plain happy about all the changes that are happening! I am looking forward to seeing ya...huggin ya....having a good ol time together again!
