Is sex before marrage a sin if you marry the person?

I hope it wasn't a gospel preacher that said that....the ONLY thing that redeems is the blood of Jesus. If we sin, we confess our sins and he is faithful and just to cleans us of our sins

I thought I read one time that the Jewish custom allowed for premarital sex after "betrothal". I've never studied this out. I could be mistaken.
Anyone else know if this is true or not?

still gotta abide by the laws.................besides, what are you gonna do when someone messes up and sleeps with someone, but then they break up and they find someone else? are they now in adultery????
