I see that same thing up in the northwest. a totally different spirit world up there. Even though CA. has hollywood, liberal S.F we still have a great church climate out here for some reason. the hispanics LOVE church!!

And let me know how many volunteer to "go in there and revitalize and energize them" and if you find someone, see how long they stay.
What is the mindset and why is it difficult to start a church?

Pull up stakes, move to North Dakota and start a church.....chuckle, chortle, snort. Thems that cans, does. Thems that can't......
Then "enlighten" me..... why is it difficult to start a church?

Unless you are used to Rural Farming, stable income is the first thing that comes to my mind.

Totally biased for sure, but what DO they do for work in the Dakotas when it is a billion degrees below zero and all smart living creatures are 1000+ miles South or West where it does not snow 45 feet every other frigid day?

Now BOOMM, it does not snow 45 feet. The wind blows the snow into 45 foot drifts because there is NOTHING there to block the wind.

In terms of work, agriculture and minimum wage retail and service industry are the only things I can recall.

Of course, I can see the preachers clamoring to go there now.

Starting a church anywhere is hard. Then there are some areas that are more difficult than others. The Dakotas are one of those places. The population mindset is different.

People are people no matter where you live and every region of the world has excuses why it cannot work.
