Nobody said or infered that.

Sorry you felt your toes were stepped on.

I think it makes some people very very uncomfortable because they know it is true, and they don't want to admit that the "church" is not perfect, it effects their whole belief that its never wrong, nor is the pastor...which is why these things continue to happen

I don't think it is, WH. It is cathartic for some to share their experiences, and since they are usually doing so anonymously, and the people and places they reference are equally anonymous, I don't see that it really hurts anything, as long as there isn't unnecessary negativity.

I agree that some do bash preachers (not necessarily on this thread), but that doesn't mean the conversation in general lacks validity.

I beg your pardon.

I have given the last 20 years of my life to trying to reach the lost. I left a good job making much more that I have in the ministry to work for God.

Left my family 550 mile behind and went and started a church and when we left it was an established church with a beautiful build paid for.

I have stood for Truth for over 33 years now and will do so until my dieing days.

THANK YOU.

If I were a betting man I would lay money down that if preacher got on here talking about saints like the preacher have been talked about here, that there would be an outcry. Look at how those rotten preachers are talking about the poor little saints.

Perhaps. Two wrongs....

I remember my one time at my Grandparents church, the folks there didn't like their new pastor and his sweet wife, and they voted them out, and then threw a "party" for them, and brought gifts...except that, in a conspiracy amongst the saints, everyone brought them a box of Little Debbie cakes in lieu of a real gift. (With the exception of my grandparents and couple other saints.)

I met the pastor and his wife, they were real sweethearts, and did nothing at all to deserve the treatment. Questioning decisions made by large monetary contributors was probably their most heinous offense.

My Grandma cried over that, and eventually changed churches, because she was so ashamed of her fellow church members' behavior.

I grew up in a pastor's home; I know firsthand how badly saints can treat pastors...and their wives...and their kids.

Well then you know that it is indeed a two way street. For every story about a church member being treated badly one could be told about a pastor being treated badly. I have been treated bad by both, bur what good comes out of airing it.

It just make people think bad of the good one whether they be church member or preacher.
