Before you have wine , you gotta have grape juice. But much of what was consumed was of the fermented variety.

Hebraic history would lead us to understand that the wine in the cup at the Passover celebrations was fermented.

Again let me state I niehter promoting or condemning a drink.

Just like to see what the bible really says...not what "we " say it say's

Didn't a study just come out recently that says that wine/alcohol prevents food poisoning?

It doesn't surprise me to see that God would supply an antedote to food poisoning considering the conditions people lived in.

There were reasons for it then, that we don't necesarilly have today.
