AFternoon ladies!

I'm having a really good day today. We were unsure if my kids were gonna play Little League this year because we moved and didnt know how it would work with church and everything. Back home my husband and I knew how it was--we knew the people--i mean we grew up there from the time we were toddlers!

So I called the LL president and asked a bunch of questions--mainly about practices or games on Wed or Sun. He told me that he is of the opinion that there are much more important things than ball--and Sunday should be a family day and at his home it is a time for them to go to church. (YAY!) and he doesn't schedule anything on those days because of church.

I am so excited now! Little League has been such a great thing for my boys and I didn't want them to be disappointed.

This is great! My son loves baseball and we never play on Sunday or Wednesday. :-)

That is wonderful!! Too bad they all aren't like that. My sister is wanting to put her son in something this summer but is worried about the practice times also. Her husband fights her somewhat on it - he doesn't go to church and he is a college ref and thinks that sports are what life is all about - but she is hoping and praying that it won't interfere with church and there can be peace in the home about it.

I was always taught that sporting activities were wrong. My husband grew up involved in sports and his family wasn't in church. I was VERY reluctant to let the boys play at first but I'm glad I did.

Baseball wasn't a sport my husband played but it is the only sport my son is able to physically play (mild heart condition) So he went into this without knowing a thing about baseball.

Bryen was very timid and I just knew that he would hate it and probably cry when he struck out....lol His first time up to bat and he hit a homerun. He has been hooked ever since.

Cool For those of you who need something to do.....

Awhile back on NFCF I posted about a young man my husband went to school with, he had started coming to church and got baptized. He just received the HG about 2 weeks ago. Hallelujah!! ANd he struggles alot. He has a lot of emotional problems due to his upbringing and his friends that he has had since before he got saved give him alot of grief about changing his way and going to church. Well, to cut to the chase he just called me (which means he is desperate) saying he was just tired of it and was not coming back to church and he is having alot of issues. I told him I would have my husband call him as soon as he got off of work. He really needs prayer if you have the time to say a prayer for him TONIGHT, that would be wonderful. His name is Kyle.
