Bitterness can't be hidden.

It will always show, usually in some incredibly dumb manifestation.

Oh, well I was just thinking is all ...... my thoughts kind of sheared off in another direction how that some of the manifestation can be very calculated as well.

I wasn't meaning to disagree, for sure.

You can't deny that men love a woman in a dress can you really?
Actually, I love my wife in nice slacks, casual linen caprices, well fitted jeans for winter, and O yeah, in fines dresses. She even wears the slacks and caprices to church, no problem worshiping the Lord whatsoever. You folks should really get over God being so shallow.

But, hey if you only want to wear dresses no matter what activity you are engaged in, it doesn't not bother me on iota, nor do I believe the Lord gives any attention to what you wear, as long as your apparel is modest.

If anyone else caught the show, you know it was about a family where the man had two wives, one wife middle-aged with 6 children, and one barely an adult with two children. They looked the typical conservative Apostolic family proclaiming they 'loved and chose the life they were living', and the man smiling and telling how all he was doing was taking care of his family. There were tears in the eyes of the middle-aged wife as she confessed to having moments of jealousy and resentment that she was being replaced with a younger model, and then she thought of the 'sister' she had found in the other wife, and the younger wife sung the praises of the older wife who was teaching her how to care for the children and their home, and how to love her husband.

The brought out the fact that these women were under 'submission' to their husband, and would never wear pants but long skirts..as they paid homeage to the husband and leader of the family. It reminds me of that painted hobby horse of Apostolic men who love to have their cake and eat it too while taking all the sweetness of their wives for granted and the wife slowly dying every day.

There were few genuine smiles, or heartfelt statements by the women...but all the men seemed pleased as punch.

Just thought I'd share the similarities between the Mormon polygamists and our many Apostolic families. The abuse of power and leadership and the sacrifice of the women's identity.oloroid

Blessings, Rhoni
sounds like you have some real issues with apostolics, with religion or with men in general. What is your ideal role for women in their relationships with men and their role in religion?
