Wow, Rico, that's scary! Although I agree with EB...I hope you weren't too hard on her!
I guess it would seem to me more that God was protecting your family, I'm still not sure that he exposes disobedience just for that purpose. (to expose it) But I think He does allow things to happen for the good of the child or to keep harm from coming to the family.
Regardless of His reasons, I'm glad He was looking out for ya'll this week!
