Pictures of the Soul
Pictures of the Soul
I see shadows of Faith as the last leaf of time
falls from the tree of life marking a season of change.
And the cold winds blow across the soul.
Bringing a gentle closing of the eyes like huge oak doors.
For time had to stand still to catch the moments.
Because etched in the mind of the living was the giant that once stood.
A living, breathing epiphany full of life and giving.
Now standing naked and stripped of His dignity.
Yet He knew His calling for it had been prophesied from before.
Laugh oh’ winter laugh for soon you’ll soon know the score.
For His season will pass as those have before.
And again He will be strong and again He will roar.
Come storms, come winds, rain or snow.
For nothing can shake this Giant of old.
For Faith runs deeper than old worry’s woes.
The roots of this tree are the creators’ soul.
So let the leaves fall, while the branches stand strong.
Unto this Tree of life we’ll always belong.
So if you forget all else, please remember this verse well.
A season is just a season; don’t let it lead you to Hell.
