You know what? I've always hated lime jello, lime drinks, lime suckers, etc. But key lime pie is like a whole different creature. Trust me; it's amazing!!!

Beginning every June, in Louisiana and Texas and I am sure in other states where they distribute, Blue Bell Ice Cream (the little creamery in Brenham) sells Key Lime Ice Cream! It is their Homemade Vanilla with really good Key Lime pie blended in it! They only sell it for two or three months. It starts right after they stop selling their Lemon Icebox Pie ice cream! YuM!!!

My only problem is that fat people like me are not allowed to have any Blue Bell of any kind! So this is what I do every June!

We normally make key lime pie from lemonade mix and limes. We freeze it and then let it thaw somewhat before serving it. Add some cool whip and oh my, Heaven!
