This morning at 7am, I left for Green Bay for computer training at a hospital I'll be doing clinicals at next month. It snowed about an inch or two last night.....just enough to make the road a little hazardous but driveable.
About halfway there (a 40 miles drive), both lanes were clear instead of one and traffic was travelling about 70MPH. After passing a few cars, I was the lead vehicle and there was a car behind me that passed the same cars (and a semi) that I did.
Just about a mile from entering the city, there are a couple hills and it was back to one lane being clear, but I was still travelling about 65MPH without difficulty. I approached a hill and there was a little area of snow blowing but it was slight and I went through it. I felt my tires in the back give a little, so I let off the gas and continued on.
I looked in my rearview mirror to check traffic behind me. To my horror, the headlights behind me went quickly left, then quickly right. He turned completely around and then off to the right side in a cloud of snow. There is a ravine and then an embankment, so I'm not sure where he went off.
I called 911 to let them know and get someone out there and then I thanked God for keeping His hand on me. I also sent angels to the people in the vehicle and asked God to spare them any harm.
It would quite emotional (and still is as I write this), and on my way back, the site had already been cleared but I was unable to see exactly where he went off the road.
My God is an awesome God.
