Madame Guyon was an extreme example of the Catholic concept of single, unmarried women being the literal bride of Christ.

I am not sure how I feel about the constant preaching on the love relationshipship because it can be seductive in nature.

Rhoni..

You posted this information publically to bolster your beliefs...... because Dr. Jeffords has a degree and is a counselor.. and I have no problem with that..

but in the Ministry he is equal to many others... and they have every right to voice their opinions just as you do with your peers...

Dr. Jeffords while talented and anointed is not above scrutiny... None of us are... just ask our wives...

RevRandy,

You are wrong in assuming that was my intent for the thread. I do not seek validation of my chosen profession or God's calling on my life. The intent of the thread was to incite discussion on the works based model of religion verses the relationship model. The point to his sermon was that there are many talents we all posses and profess to use for kingdom ministries, but many times we get caught up in the ministry and do not have relationship with the one we profess to minister for.

I do not feel that any of us have the right to "scrutinize" Dr. Jeffers. As a matter of fact...the comments made were very derrogatory and better left unsaid. God honors his word, and uses who he will. I, for one am humbled by this because only God knows how unworthy He and I know I am...and he uses me.

Blessings, Rhoni

I know of apostolic women who rather spend time in prayer than anything else and get into some kind of thing about
Jesus being their husbands to the point of not being a wife and mother anymore.

Really? I am glad to hear that. Beacuse it seemed that on NFCF you were indeed seeking such things. Even the Dear Rhoni thread indicates that. JMO.

The Rhoni thread indicates I am what I am regardless of anyone's opinion....not seeking validation...already been validated But you are free to post your opinion!

I don't know of any of those kind of women...but we need more prayer warriors...that is for sure! I do not agree with neglecting your spouse or children for prayer time...there are plenty of times one can pray without it interrupting family time. A woman who would rather pray than taking care of her family is one who is unhappy and pursuing things that distract from the real issue...in my opinion...
