Since Jesus made it clear that His disciples are not to allow anyone to call them "Rabbi" (
Matthew 23:8), it's impossible to understand how anyone would be okay with inviting a non-disciple of Jesus into a meeting, and then introduce or call that non-disciple "Rabbi". Seems like a surefire way to set the Lord Jesus against you, if you ask me.
Not to mention that the Rabbinical Judaism of today is a two millennia in the making outgrowth of the Pharisaical tradition that Jesus renounced and trounced every chance He got, seems to suggest an antipathy between He and them that, if I'm not mistaken, has not abated since then until now.
