When people tell me God told them something, it gets my attention. Because if God did truly speak, I want to truly listen. Unfortunately it doesn’t always prove to be true.

If their prophecy is verified, I try to remember that.

If it is debunked? Same answer.

If GOD tells someone else something to tell you. YOU already knew it before hand. GOD is more than capable to tell us everything we need to know. He uses other people to confirm that knowledge. It is NEVER vague, hence the reason why we call it, "reading someone's mail." We aren't being told our phone numbers or street addresses, because that is unneeded nonsense. Any charlatan could do those things. But they are telling you the things you have known to the core of your being. Information God has been discussing with you. The fake prophet stage shows usually deal with eschatology, because that's what draws crowds. Irvin Baxter Jr made a good business out of eschatology predictions. Therefore the more brave name dates, and those who love to be scared rally around those dates. They preach BAD NEWS, instead of the Good News. When their predications fall on their face, people leave. As in the Millerites, when their prophet dropped the watermelon.
