Re: What Are You Reading Currently, 2.0
I purchased Lamsa and Brenton LXX via Kindle for now.
Amazon had a paper copy Lamsa bible with 8 pt font, too hard on the eyes.

I'm guessing kindle would not work for the Geneva Bible because you would lose the reference notes. I'm excited about buying one, but need to make sure it's not small print.

I finished reading Heaven and Hell: A History of the Afterlife by Dr. Bart Ehrman.
Pretty "meh", if you ask me.
I've begun reading The Hero with 1,000 Faces by Joseph Campbell.

Re: What Are You Reading Currently, 2.0
I finished reading/studying another book about Hermeneutics.
This is my "review" for what is worth:
* Hermeneutical Spiral by Osborne. Good, thorough, but too Academic at times. I mean, the author spends a significant amount of text surveying different views and approaches and then justifying why he settles with one or the other, or contributes with its own.
* Understanding God's Word by David K Bernard. It is decent. It is a summary of good principles. He also contributes by highlighting the importance of the Apostolic Pentecostal experience to retro-fit into interpretation, and at the same time, the interpretation guarding the Pentecostal experience. I think he got the idea from the Pentecostal Hermeneutics books. This book fails to get practical, and it is shallow in general.
* Inductive Bible Study: Observation, Interpretation, and Application through the Lenses of History, Literature, and Theology by Fuhr and Köstenberger. I finished reading this book few months ago. A great book about Practical Hermeneutics. It is full of examples. It is deep but not Academic. Worth taking notes as you read it and then go back to your Bible and use it. It is not pushy about any specific doctrinal view.

Re: What Are You Reading Currently, 2.0
I've put reading Hero with a Thousand Faces on hold. I recently began and finished Dr. Alice Miller's The Drama of the Gifted Child: The Search for the True Self. I had started it last year some time and put it down, but decided to give it another go.
I am also currently read Dr. Alan Segal's Two Powers in Heaven: Early Rabbinic Reports about Christianity and Gnosticism.
Finally, today I purchased Dr. Jordan Peterson's newest Beyond Order: 12 More Rules for Life. Like the companion tome, my wife and I will be reading this one together.

Just finished re-reading "The Korean Frontier" by Elton Bernard.
Been several years since I read it.
Always inspiring.

DIY Church Marketing by Jason Homan
with all of the covid stuff I'm just not sure how people feel about having a stranger knocking on their door. I'm hoping to figure out a way to reach out via social media.
