My thoughts on this are that they want to do away with the local police and sheriffs who have already proved their loyalty to Trump and install a national police which will be loyal to the hierarchy. That way they can order the police to enforce the rules which the local police are now disregarding.

When dictators come in they usually get rid of the existing police force as much as possible.
Of course, they replace it with a new police force, but hey at this point what difference does it make? Amirite?

We stopped at a little Christian run restaurant just above the Washington border just as they opened. Was met by an armed group of protesters who where protesting the governor's decree. Armed to the teeth and ready for whatever to happen.
Wen a little further north to pick up the equipment and was met by more disgruntled people. They were kind to us but you could tell that they were not happy with their government.
Felt like a powder keg ready to go off.
The dems are going to try to do that to the entire country and then.... BOOM!

And you don't see this on the news at all.

I don't see this "give us a king" attitude from Trump supporters.

Don't take this the wrong way. Because I really don't know what you can or cannot see. But, sometimes when people are in the middle of a movement they don't realize what is going on around them. Or, they just let things go through a simple application of cognitive dissonance. It is like when we go over to Aunt Biddy Jean's house. She has 14 cats and four litter boxes. Everyone who visits her knows she has these friendly felines. Even if they cannot see them. Because they can smell them. Even if Aunt Biddy Jean is the cleanest cat lady in the world, we who are on the outside entering her home can still smell them. I'm going to say something here that might be pretty unpopular, but again don't take it the wrong way. I see parallels between Hitler's movement and what we are seeing around Trump. When Brother Esaias mentioned Pisistratus. I immediately thought about how he appealed to the farmers, the cattle owners, shepards, of Athens. A literal let's Make Athens Great Again. Pisistratus totally understood the art of the deal, from the very first time he hopped out of his chariot at the gates of Athens.
Everyone loves the the tough guy, the hard guy, the lets get things done guy. But fact of the matter is that these men didn't rule alone. No one ever does. they need a strong base group of Stormtroopers. Marjorie Greene U.S. Rep for Georgia 14th District, makes no bones about what she is about. People love it. Hey, I'm all about gun rights, I'm not about nut's rights. Yes, we are tired, our system isn't broken, because broken can be repaired. Our system is shot out. We are now just in a constant roll towards further rot and decay.
Athens was ripe for a Pisistratus, he didn't even need to bring is body builder girlfriend with him. Hitler, well you know the story on how Germany was ripe for the Nationalist Socialist Party. People are tired of killing themselves everyday, from dark to dark, then coming home with nothing to show. The woman who complied with the rules of her city. Only to find out that the politician prostitute Mayor Eric Garcetti has catered to the Movie Industry who really is the bread N butter in California. She is tired, frustrated and fed up. She isn't alone, in the United States. But if you watch her video all the way to the end. You listen to her last statements, "we need YOUR help! We need someone to do something about...this!" That's when the Pisistratus, the Hitlers, and the Trumps of this world step right up. America the United States were taught from childhood on up. That when hypocrisy of government is slapping you in the face. You are to rise up and crush the serpent's head. Death to the Cylons! Yet, we are civilized, we were always taught about that old piece of parchment hanging in the museum called the Constitution. We just need a Hero! Captain America! But, if he isn't available, will always take Thanos. Come to think of it Thanos just might get the job done faster. His results more permanent.

Someone send Mayor Garcetti a violin, a toga, and a wreath of laurel

It's a bit scary just how well this analogy seems to fit, elder. A very sad state of affairs.

Sadly people under right set of circumstances will take any port in a storm.
Every tyrant in history was born out of the people's need to end political suffering in a hurry.
