The whole reason for the lockdown is to totally destroy the small business economy. Then the big boys, amazon and etc, will make billions being the suppliers for the nation.

They have already decimated the trucking industry, now it is the small mom and pop stores. They are going away.

Fortunately, it wasn't as bad as in other places, and didn't last for too long. Our store never shut down, though. The main issue right now is the city mask "mandate", which I routinely ignore whenever possible - meaning: whenever I'm not at work. Even at work, I only wear it when I have to while dealing with customers.

It's a computer store, and no, I just work there. We do have on advantage, namely that we fill a niche no one else around us does. We're pretty much the last place within several hundred miles (namely Micro Center in Kansas City) you can go to buy parts in shop, instead of online. I've heard there's a couple small shops in Omaha, but they don't keep much inventory on hand.
Best Buy has parts, but they lost several customers to us by closing their doors and only letting people pick up instead of browse inside. They don't even carry the kind of selection that we do, despite being considerably larger than we are.
It helps to have an angle in business, and this is ours.
