The goal of health insurance is for one to be able to have coverage to pay for medical procedures and treatments to help treat medical conditions (even potentially life threatening conditions).

The goal of health insurance used to be for coverage in case of a catastrophic incident. It's people using insurance for regular visits and such that have driven the price of health care through the roof. Covering preexisting conditions would drive it up even further. I've told you this before, so don't play this game of feigned outrage with me. You know what I'm referring to, so stop with the histrionics.
